Pastor Calvin U. Harrison
Mighty man of God with a mighty faith, vision, purpose and calling. A true visionary who sees the impossible and thinks, "with God, ALL things are possible." His ministry for the past 38 years has highlighted that belief in the most amazing, miraculous ways. Of the five churches he has pastored in the past years of ministry - Riverdale SDA Church, Emmaus SDA Church, Brownsville SDA Church, Goshen SDA Church, New Rochelle SDA Church, and Cornerstone SDA Church - not one of them has been left without visible evidence of his ministry and undeniable presence. He fed their souls (spiritually) and their bodies (physically), as well as giving them churches with beautiful "makeovers", fit to worship the King of the Universe.
He is not only a builder and renovator of buildings, but an avid soul winner for the cause, with over 4,000 precious souls added to the Kingdom. In the short time he has been here at Blessed Hope Adventist Church, the Church has purchased a prime real estate property located at 4080 Haverhill Road, West Palm Beach, Florida 33417, that has been renovated for worship with plans to construct a "model" House of Worship in the near future.
We invite all to "COME AND SEE" and be a part of this miraculous process.
Blessed Hope Adventist Church meets every Sabbath (Saturday) at 4080 Haverhill Road N., West Palm Beach, FL 33417.
“Seventh-Day” refers to our weekly celebration of the Sabbath on the seventh day of the week (Saturday) as the day of rest and worship (Genesis 2:2-3, Exodus 20:8-11, Mark 2:27, Luke 4:16, Hebrews 4:9). “Adventist” refers to our joyful expectation of the second advent, or second coming, of Jesus Christ (John 14:1-3, Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16, Revelation 22:12).
Our logo reflects the foundation of the Adventist Church being the Bible, the Word of God, which is shown open in the logo because its message must be read and put into practice. Central to that Biblical message is the Cross, which is also central in the logo. Above the Cross and the open Bible is the burning flame of the Holy Spirit, the messenger of Truth.
This local congregation was founded in January of 2011 as the “Adventist Mission of the Palm Beaches” to focus on sharing God’s love and the Good News of the Gospel with the people in the northeastern part of Greater West Palm Beach.
In March of 2012 we selected the name “Blessed Hope,” which comes from Titus 2:13 (“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ”). The name to signifies how we, as Adventists, live with a joyful spirit of faith and hope in the second coming of Jesus Christ, when He will take to heaven those who have placed their trust in Him as Savior and Lord.
We join together to praise and worship the Lord on His holy day, the Sabbath. We put our heart into our praise with joyful gospel music, soulful prayer, and anointed ministry of the Word. We depart from each service inspired to serve our neighbor better. We are not perfect; we are a community of believers who are just sinners saved by grace. We welcome all: saints and sinners, rich and poor, old and young. We celebrate diversity and welcome people of every nation, race, and kindred. Blessed Hope is a place of faith, hope, and love for all people.
Our sole desire, and our soul’s desire, is to be used as an empty vessel, longing to be filled by the grace of God, the love of Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit; and to work each day to build His kingdom.
The logo illustrates our core beliefs.

WHAT DOES THE Adventist Logo MEAN?
The Second Coming
The lines at the top of the design suggest an upward continued momentum symbolizing the resurrection and ascension to heaven at Christ's second coming, the ultimate focus of our faith.
This is the shape formed by three lines encircling an implied sphere. The lines represent the three angles of Revelation 14 circling the globe and our commission to take the gospel to the entire world. The overall shape forms a flame symbolic of the Holy Spirit.
The symbol of the cross, representing the gospel of salvation, is positioned in the center of the design to emphasize Christ's sacrifice, which is the central theme of our faith.
The Open Bible
The Bible forms the base of the design and represents the biblical foundation of our beliefs. It is portrayed in a fully open position suggesting a full acceptance of God's word.
It is our hope and prayer that though this logo is a very simple picture of the foundation of Adventist beliefs and values it may be a recognizable symbol of the Adventist message to the world. (Information courtesy of adventist.org)
